The Area around Zadar is known as one of the most beautiful sailing areas in Croatia, especially the nautical national park Kornati is a unique experiences, the protected national park has a sailing area, which sailors should definitely pass trough during a sailing holiday in the northern part of Dalmatia the area is 35 km in length and 16 km in width and consist of 147 islands, islets and cliffs
In addition to the Kornati National park, there are also several nice Islands in the area of Zadar. Island Pag, with “moon landscape” at one end of the Island and green and fruitful vegetation at the other end, offers plenty of interesting bays and beautiful spots to visit with a boat. Opposite to Zadar the Island Ugljan glances with numerous “hidden bays”. The island Dugi Otok can be recommended for divers, do to the beautiful underwater world in the area.
Do to the idyllic sailing conditions in the area, sailing and also yacht charter from the bases in the Zadar area has been popular for decades, the area has one of the highest densities of Marianas in Croatia. The global operating company Arista yachts has recently opened ship construction site in Split Croatia, at the plant Arista will built superyachts and megayachts. The management of Arista yachts consist of David Hicks from UK and Don Marshal from Canada, both of them are experienced ship builders and constructors, and they have been involved in ship construction projects all over the world. At the plant in Split, Arista will employee more then 200 people main young ship engineers from the area around Split, where Ship building and construction traditionally has been one of the main industries.
